What next?

I started back to work today, and had some surprising news.  I work on a freelance basis, as a mentor to students in higher education.  For the past 16 months, I have been working many hours a week with one particular student, however it is currently not clear whether this student will continue studying, which basically means I may have less work, and therefore less money in the weeks to come.

Anyway, we'll see what happens, and I will continue to try and blog on most days, so you can come along with me on the journey.  Bye for now.

As our food bills rise steadily we all have to be very frugal, and keep a watchful eye open for bargains.

Woo hoo! Woo hoo because you can stay home more! The money thing is a worry, but it sounds like you have it all figured out!
I know what you mean about finding many fun and useful things to do at home. I can while away hours and hours pottering about and it's so satisfying! I am at home today because we had to get a new dishwasher (again!) The first two were lemons. Finally, my dried up old hands can recover!

One thing is for sure, we 'stay at homes ' never get bored! Hubby and I try to live as simply as possible to keep bills down....it's a constant battle as prices keep increasing.

It's nice if you will be able to stay home more. I know when I worked, I looked forward to when I retired, so I could be at home. My heart was always at home. Saving money on food has always been the most difficult thing for me. I'll check out the blogs you referred to. I hope the rest of your week goes well! :)
