A Childlike Christmas

I have been really enjoying the 'Childlike Christmas' posts at The Quiet Home and at Pom Pom's Ponderings so much that I have decided to join in the fun!  Here is another picture that we took on our recent visit to York.  Don't the lights look pretty?  In the background is the Teddy Bear Tea Rooms, and this road is Stonegate, one of the oldest streets in York.  The tea rooms are above a teddy bear shop, and here is their website.

Don't you just love teddy bears?

This little chap looks dressed ready for Christmas!

Teddy Bear Christmas, a new holiday painting from Janet Kruskamp. Teddy bears come out everywhere in this Christmas painting. Gaily dressed, the bears are in and around a large brown canvas bag full of presents and bears. A trumpet and drum poke out the top of the bag, sitting in front of a large christmas tree decorated with bulbs, bear ornaments, and soft blue lights. A top sits on the rust colored carpet in front of a bear wearing a lace collar. A fully dressed brown bear sits on the right holding a large candy cane. One of the Janet Kruskamp Teddy Bear Gallery of personally enhanced giclees hand signed by Janet Kruskamp.

And this is Teddy Bear Christmas, a painting in oils by Janet Kruskamp, aren't they lovely!  Do go and visit the other blogs I have mentioned and join in the fun!

PS If I receive 5 comments, I just might treat you to a picture of yours truly with my beautiful baby granddaughter!

Ah, lovely to see a photo of York ... reminds me of Chester, where I grew up. The old buildings seem to lend themselves to looking especially "festive" don't they?! As for the teddies, well, they always bring a smile to my face!

Hi Jayne! I'll put you on the blog roll! Great post! Yes, teddy bears are a very sweet Christmas present. I have a teddy bear that I kiss quite often. Welcome! Thank you for joining in!

Lovely York, lovely teddies! I really don't know if my childhood teddy was a Christmas present or not. I think he was secondhand (I have a long family history of thrifting!) because he's surely older than I am... Thanks for joining in.

Oh I love York, although it is several years since I was there, and as for teddies, I still have two that are over 40 years old now!

Hi Jayne!
Lovely for you to pop by and comment, and to wish my lovely hubby Happy Birthday.
I was born in and grew up in Coventry, nice to meet another Midlander!
Teddies? Bring them on!! As a little girl I pushed my teddies around in a pram instead of dolls (and I still have them both).
Glad to meet you!

Lovely photo of York, which brings back great memories. Before we returned to bonny Scotland it was our visit of choice for my December birthday. Beautiful city, especially at Christmas time.
